Hi guys

I live in the 'countryside' in the UK and have a Wireless 3G/HSPA wifi dongle/router (it's 802.11g) that gives me my internet connection. I have two computers here - a Mac Pro (2008 8-Core w/Airport & Bluetooth) running 10.6.7 and a Macbook Pro running 10.7.1

The MBP uses location services correctly, and seems to be able to display the location perfectly on the Undercover (http://www.orbicule.com/undercover/ if you aren't familiar) Center page - there's no problem there.

My Mac Pro however, cannot get the location with any apps. The last location on the Undercover Centre was on Sept 16th, last year! I think that was probably when i moved from my last place. To be fair it was often connected via ethernet so i wasn't worried about it - however now i'm using the Airport/wireless with no ethernet cable attached, it still doesn't work.

When i go to the Mac Pro's 'Date & Time' preferences and select 'Set Time zone automatically using current location', it tells me that 'unable to determine current location at this time'. I've also downloaded iStumbler, and it also can't figure out my location (works just fine on the MBP) on same network.

In Security preferences, i have NOT ticked 'Disable Location Services' and i restart daily. There's also no firewall turned on, no little snitch, and have tried launching ulocator manually, to no avail.

Orbicule tell me not to worry because if the machine's stolen, there's still the IP address of the machine, but it doesn't exactly fill me with hope.

I've also tried using a wired connection which is feeding off my Airport Express (which is picking up the wifi from the 3G dongle) - no cigar.

Anyone got any ideas why it's not working?

Cheers!
