Greetings,

I recently purchased a Late 2008 Aluminum Macbook - MB467LL/A - MacBook5,1 - A1278, to repair and use for myself. The display has an issue that I would like some advice on. When the macbook boots up, the left side of the screen is the normal bright white color, but a portion on the right side of the display is very dim/dark, like a shadow. Then in about 10 secs or so the right side lights up, normal and everything looks perfect. When using the macbook the screen has no issues, it displays correctly. If the computer screen, dims or powers down when I havent touched the keyboard in a while, when I reactivate the macbook, the dim right side is back again, for the same 10-15 secs before, returning to the normal expected display. I have provided a few images of what I am experiencing. If anyone knows the problem and a possible fix, I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks,

Chris :)
