my hard drive has been failing for a couple months now. I need to replace it. I have a white 2008 macbook. Should i go with an hdd 7200 rpm. or go for an sad? & what are the best / cheapest sites? recommended brands? etc, etc. this topic has probably been discussed but since im beach balling constantly, i figure id make a new thread. thanks !!

In my opinion ssd is better. because it's faster. And if you drop your mac, hdd gonna crash, but ssd - not...

So ssd... i've used INTEL, SAMSUNG and Corsair SSD's... and all of them worked faster than 10000rpm hdd's...
 
Samsung's SSDs have dropped in price in recent weeks. Great value for you money. Intel and Corsair is fine too. I know OCZ has a bad rep, but its worked fine for me.
