Hi all,

My 2008 MBP 15" with SSD is starting to experience some hardware issues so i am considering a move to a 2013 MBP 13" into which i would put my SSD.

My concern is that performance-wise my 15" seems fast still. Would i notice a performance bump if I put my SSD (good quality) into a 13" MBP or will the performance increase be marginal?

Second. Am i able to do a direct move of the drive from the 15" to the 13" or would it need a formet and re-build.

Thanks in advance

If its a SATA III SSD performance will increase by moving to the 2012 model if its a SATA II however it'll be the same speeds.

Doing a direct move is not advisable. Different drivers/kext files as mentioned above.
