NorCal boonies ~~~by Reno sorta
My late 08 MBP was a victim of a coffee spill and I am slowly recovering it. As of now it'll turn on and work with an external keyboard/mouse. The built in display still works but I use an external as well.

I'm running Yosemite, and every few minutes or so the screen will go black then come back to life about 2-3 seconds later. Is there any way to dive deeper into this? I'd hope that there is some sort of fix as it's currently my "mac mini" at my desk. I've tried moving around the mini DP to DVI adapter and still same issue. My display is a classic 22" ACD with the ADC to DVI adapter.

There's a firmware update available that fixes this common LVDS_MUX issue.

What's the only thing worse than an Apple product with ONE discrete GPU?

An Apple product with TWO.. yes, TWO discrete GPUs!!!!

This board scares me just looking at it. Hair on my arm stands up and I get tingly feeling in my chest just thinking about it.
