Hi all,

It's been a while but I finally have time to get back into focusing on my computer and Apple products.

I just went to the local computer store and got 8GB Ram 1066mhz - Kingston KTA MB1066K2/8G Apple RAM and got it installed by them.

However I just started up my computer, everything works. I checked the about my mac and it says 1333mhz.

Do you know why this may be? And is this an issue? So far I haven't seen much improvement in speed to be honest. I am mainly looking at using Lightroom and exporting photos. etc.

It is not an issue. I have a 2009 MBP which came with 1066 MHz RAM and now uses and recognises 1333 MHz RAM. I have worked with that situation for over a year now and haven't had any problems as far as I can tell.

Thanks. No problems so far. Just don't see any increase in performance. I still get the spinning beach ball using basic editing in lightroom.
