Dilemma, which is really the better machine.

I know there isn't a great deal in the benchmarks for the two.

But for the price difference I don't know which to go with is the newer one worth the extra $$ ?

The main thing I am trying to get my head around is the Graphics and Memory difference. Basically the 2009 has the 9400M and 2GB of Ram vs. the 2010 which has the 320m and 4GB of Ram.

Is the difference that great?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers :D

How much is the price difference? 4GB RAM is worth it and 320M is nice if you plan to do any gaming. Keep in mind the new one has better battery as well

For that difference, get the new one. It already has 4GB RAM which is about 100£ plus twice as good GPU with better battery

Hmmm, valid point.... I just found the benchmarks (not just apple propaganda either hehe) between the 9400 and the 320M and they really are quite different!

Thanks for your help and speedy responses :)

Hands down the 13" 2.4GHz macbook pro with the nvidia 320m. It is THAT much faster in terms of GPU performance over the slow 9400m.

Also you can get the base 13" macbook pro with the nvidia 320m from microcenter for $999.
