Hello-
I have a 2009 Macbook Pro 15". About 9 months ago, it was apparently dropped on a corner, and as a result would not close flush as it did from the factory.
It had no apparent performance effects until about 6 months ago, when during use, the screen would go gray with different hues of vertical and horizontal lines. Slight pressure applied to the side of the display corrected the issue. During these "gray outs", i retain 100% computing functionality, i simply cannot see what I'm doing.
These gray outs have become more and more frequent, up to the point that even when I apply pressure and/or adjust the screen in other ways, the problem persists.
My glass screen had begun to separate from the metal case, I did a minor disassemble and re-glued it. All connection cables appeared to be connected well, and the screen remains glued, but the problem, alas, persists.
Any help at all would be appreciated. I'm on a tight budget and would love to be able to troubleshoot/repair this on my own.
Thanks!
