2009 17" Core2Duo vs 2011 13" i5 > For Audio?

Hi,
I have a buyer for my late 2009 17" MBP 2.8 Core2Duo and i am considering going for the basic spec 13" new MBP and using the spare cash left for other things.

How does the i5 Dual Core compare to the 2.8 Core2Duo? I work with Audio, so i would replace the HD with a 7200rpm version.
