2009 27in i7 imac vs 2011 15in mbp 2.2 i7 w/ cinema display

Hi guys I wanted your thoughts my setup/ future setup. I currently have a 2009 27in imac 2.8 i7. I currently was looking to get a mbp for school and on the go editing (photographer) but in light of the new mbp's power I was thinking of a different route. How does the new 15in mbp 2.2 quad i7 w/27 cinema display stack against my current imac. from what i know my imac has a mobile chipset in it too. I know that it has a higher clockspeed, but it still ranks lower on geekbench when compared to the mbp that were released today. I know people say in day to day tasks geekbench is not accurate so i wanted to get your guys opinions on this. Is the new mbp w/sandy bridge faster than my imac? also how does the gpu compare to my imac's. I know it has double the vram, but how do the cards compare? the ram is also slower. would there be anything that my imac does better or is the new 2.2 quad 15in mbp that powerful that it is a completely better machine than my imac?
