Hi there,

I have a late 2009 3.06GHz iMac that since i've upgraded to Lion has become rather sluggish.

Would it be possible to install 8GB of RAM into this iMac, or is 4GB the limit ? ( currently on 2gb)

Also, I wanted to replace the hard drive from a 500GB to a 1/2tb hdd. Can I pickup any regular 3.5inch sata hdd ? Or is it brand/model specific ?

Thank you.

Please navigate to

You will see your machine can be upgraded to 16GB of RAM. OWC is a trusted vendor, if you are still unsure you can contact them via telephone or do an on-line chat and they will be happy to answer your questions.
