Hi,

I have a 2009 Mac Pro tower which has 3 internal SATA 3.5" disks(no raid), one system disk(1TB disk1), two storage disks(2TB disk 2 and 1TB disk 3). I'm relocating to a new city and would like to recycle the Mac Pro tower(too heavy to move), but keeping the disks. I'd like to access the data on those 3 disks in the future. I plan to only use Mac Book Pro in the future. No more towers. I have a 2015 MBP 15" and plan to buy a latest MBP. So if I were to buy an external disk enclosure, what brand/model would you recommend? Can I still access the data on the old Mac system disk 1? I don't need RAID.

I'm not very savvy with Mac stuff. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Thank you.

I do not know which brand to recommend. But if you only need to access the data now and then a good solution is https://www.amazon.com/s?k=3.5+hard+drive+adapter+to+usb+c&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 You will need to set "Ignore ownership" in Info panel to access the system disk. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchlp1204/10.14/mac/10.14 (Works on older systems too)
