This is driving me crazy, hoping someone out there has a fix for this or at least encountered it. The issue is that I am able to play a video one time and then after that, all video playback stops. This happens whether I play an mp4 file on my computer or stream something. It will also freeze (beach ball) when I try to skip around in the playback as well. When the video playback stops, it's not like the video card stops working as I am still able to see and do everything else. If I do a reboot, I can play a single video again. I tried to reset the PRAM and SMC but that made no difference either.

I just updated from El Capitan all the way through Mojave 10.14.6 using the OS updates from the app store. I have a Radeon RX580 so I am ok in regards to metal and both ram and processors are more than capable. I am running two displays at 2560x1440 and a 3rd display at 1080p. The only other issue I am aware of is that I noticed the diode heat sink has a busted rivet so it is running hot. The replacement rivets are coming this week but that may be completely unrelated.

PLEASE HELP!!!!
