Hello,

With the 2009 Mac Pro with a 4870, can I have one monitor connected to a 30" monitor at 1920x1200, and a second monitor connected to a 22" monitor at a much lower resolution?

If so, what I'm interested in is having a designated "space" assigned to the smaller monitor (at the lower resolution). Say, space number 8 of 8. Is this also possible?

Or, do I have to add another graphics card (like the base 120)?

Regards,
zeff

Yes, can hook up two different monitors and run them at different resolutions, no problem.

However, the "Spaces" feature in 10.5 / 10.6 groups all the displays together in every space instance, however you have them arranged under displays preferences. I don't believe you can currently split and assign spaces.

I hope this helps!
