Hi,

I've decided to resurrect my old 2009 white Macbook 5,2. I use my iMac more often now, but it'd be nice to have something portable that I can use for word processing, browsing, listening to music, take notes in class etc...

The (stock) battery is very worn out and inconsistent and the cord on my MagSafe charger recently failed – so I've decided to revitalize the thing by buying:

- Anker Laptop Battery for Macbook 13"
- OWC Apple Genuine 60W MagSafe Power Adapter
- Crucial MX100 128gb SSD

Although it is a 3rd party product, I assume the Anker battery is fairly reliable because of the reviews. Can anyone confirm this one way or another?
Also, I've gotten the impression that 3rd party MagSafes are to be avoided – is the OWC MagSafe probably my least expensive reliable option?

The OWC link is for an "Apple genuine" adapter.
So, not a third-party product, but is made by Apple.
Good price, too. Get it while the bargain price is available!

That adapter is legit, the battery is good quality, and the SSD is plenty fast! Great upgrades for your machine and you can easily use it a few more years as a result.
