I just got a used 2009 MacBook on craigslist for $150 (yes I know ship it)

Apparantly the seller felt guilty because the battery needs replaced.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of which battery I need to get? I have serial # W895151T8PW 13" late 2009, 2.26 GHz dual.

Also, I read reports that this will take 8 GB of ram, but the apple site says it only takes 4GB. Will it take 8 GB?

Thanks I owe you guys one/

Apple - Support - Replacing the Battery in your MacBook (Models with built-in batteries)
Apple - Batteries - Battery Replacement

This should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions:

Yes. You can find specs on all Apple products, including maximum RAM:

You can get it for $120-130 from ifixit, but Apple authorized repair centers or stores can replace it for $130, so you have lots of options.

How many hours battery life are you getting? 5-6 is typical for a new battery unless you are gaming.
