2009 Macbook Pro

Hey guys I am new to the forum and I have one question to ask. Is it normal for my fan to be at 2700 rpm when I boot my computer. Once I reach the desktop the fans slowly decrease to 1900-2000. Is this normal?

Yepp its normal My fans are running at 2k atm. I am on a umbp 09
