2009 MBP 15" Stuck at Apple Logo & Spinning Gears

As it says in the title. My MBP has been just at the apple logo with the spinning gears. It never stops.

I've run repair disk permissions. Repair disk. I've phoned apple, whom all they did was tell me to reset the PRAM.... I don't know what else to do. I want to avoid sending it in, and reformatting at all costs.

Any advice?

i have the same problem with my 17'' uMBP.

I was having some problems with my uMBP for a while after upgrading to SnowLeopard... but it was ok, I worked on my video projects, took my flight back to home and now it's stuck on that screen. Progress circle keeps turning for hours and that's it.

I will go to the AppleStore once I got back to Miami.

Hope you can find a quicker and easier solution, but u r not the only one
