Hello All

I have a mid 2009 13" MBP in need of a new battery..replacement seems to be straight forward. but I am uncertain as to where to buy the battery..

Any suggestions would be appreciated

The only place to get a genuine battery is from Apple–either by going to the Genius Bar or mailing your computer in for the swap.

To be clear, they will not sell you a battery by itself. They must perform the installation for you.

It works perfectly as well as the original did. Removal is simple. Take off the bottom, remove 2(or 3 can't remember) screws from the battery, disconnect the wire harness from the logic board, and lift out. Installation is the reverse. It takes about 2 minutes. Although you will need one of THESE if you don't already have one. The screws that hold the battery in place require a Tri Wing screwdriver.
