Anyone had a simlar problem, just installed new 500gb hard drive into 2009 MBP. Cloned a clean install of 10.7 on to new drive then updated to 10.7.5.

I then realised when I when to shut the MBP down, it basically just restarts each time. So far I've done PRAM reset and SMC reset, I've also tried deleting system plist eg com.apple.PowerManagement.plist

But so far I am still experience the problem, I've also noticed if I hard shut down holding down the powerbutton and then plug in the plug in mag safe it also restarts up the computer.

So at the moment the only way to shut down is unplug mag safe and hold down the powerbutton.

Any help would be greatfull!!

update

Have just done clean install of SL 10.6 and I am still getting the same problems when I shut down the computer it restarts everytime.

Starting to think its a hardware problem now.
