I have a question regarding wireless performance. I'm considering getting a new model to upgrade my nearly 4 year old router. I don't use the wireless backup feature at all anymore (use a USB 3.0 hard drive now), so I'm judging this solely on the wireless performance of the 2009 Time Capsule vs. a newer model, possibly the Linksys E1200. Any thoughts?

Here is a good review of the newest model and it includes a comparison with the older models.

The newer models do have better speeds. That said, are you just using wifi for Internet access, or are you using it to move large files around the network? If you are only using it for Internet, your current router is likely faster than your Internet connection anyway, so a new router may not make much difference.
