All,
I know this topic has been touched upon many times, and I've scoured the forum (and Google a bit as well) to find help; so far none found.
I've got a Corsair CSSD-F120GB2 120GB SSD in place of the stock 1TB HD, and just for grins I ran BlackMagic to see how it's performing; see the pic below.
I did happen to check to see if TRIM Support was enabled, and indeed, it turned out it wasn't. Now that it's back on, can I expect to see better read/write speeds over the next week or two, or should speeds increase instantly once TRIM is enabled?
According to the Corsair website, the drive has a maximum sequential read speed of 285MB/second and maximum sequential write speed of 275 MB/seconds. So seems my speed test should show better scores than I'm getting. That said, I'm still plenty satisfied with everyday use; it's much faster than my newer work laptop that runs Windows 7 on a spinner.
