Thinking about picking up a 15" i7 2.66 (2010) with Hi Res Anti-glare screen for $1,500. The rest of the configuration is stock and it still has some apple care left. Think I could do better?

what ram ? i am guessing 4 GB ... what harddrive ? yes $1500 sounds good depending if its good condition...

i just dont like buying used electronics. id rather get a 12 month no interest from Bestbuy put that 1500 down on a high end 15" 2011 and pay the rest off whenever i feel like!

I see your point & I agree, but unfortunately, BestBuy do not offer the MBPs (customized) with anti-glare screens. :(

now thats just fair :(. what about the apple financing? im really pushing you to get a new i7 15 lol. but i know youd just love it! and be thanking me everyday!!

There is a big difference in performance between the 10's and the 11's but there is also a big difference in price. For some people the screen size matters more than performance. FYI, the new 13" has performance very close to that 17" if that helps you rationalize the performance any.

Get a 2011; you can get one with the hi res screen for about $1,700-1,800 if you are a student/civil servant/military/etc, and slightly under $2,000 if not. The base 2.0GHz CPU runs circles around the 2.66 dual core i7.
