Hello,

I'm hoping someone might help!

I've got a mid 2010 imac 21.5 and I'm planning on installing an ssd to boot the os and applications from.

At first I was planning on replacing the 500gb hard drive with the ssd but I've now found out I can remove the optical disk drive and replace that with the ssd which seems the better option as I don't use the disk drive to much!

I was planning on using a crucial m500 ssd at first but a bit of googling have led me to the SAMSUNG 840 EVO 250gb.

Basically what I'm after is some opinions on is this the best option for installing an ssd in my mac and is the EVO compatible with the 2010 imac ?
