Hello,

I am looking to move from my 2010 Single Core Mac Pro (MP) to the 2020 Mac Mini, but I have a few questions before I pull the plug. I am looking at the following configuration:

2020 Mac Mini
32 gigs of ram
3.0GHz 6-Core
512GB Storage

Looking to add a thunderbolt 4 bay external enclosure.

Is the Thunderbolt (TB) enclosure with SSD's capable of running VMWare? I have a few apps that I need windows for. I don't know if it is possible, but I would also like to run an older version of OSX since I have a few applications that are also 32bit only.

Would the Mac Mini in conjunction with the the TB Enclosure have the power to do this? Should I go for the 64gigs of ram? My MP has 32gigs and it doesn't have an issue.

Also, I currently have two 24 inch monitors via DVI, would all I need to run those monitors is a thunderbolt to DVI cable? If I don't have to, I don't want to upgrade the monitors, but if I do, I do. Just want to make sure before I pull the plug on the Mac Mini purchase.

Main Uses of current MP:
Photoshop
Illustrator
Premier
GarageBand -> Moving to Logic Pro
VMWare for Windows 7...

Thanks
