2010 Macbook Pro I7 - Miserable XBench results

So here's my XBench results:

What is going on here? I check my harddrive in the disk utility, no problems there. I have 250GB free or so, and my computer is only using 2-3% of memory/CPU. But even surfing the web or typing gets laggy. Youtube videos and typing .. forget about it.

I feel like there could be a problem with the computer running off the slower processor??

Thoughts?

It seems, the HDD is very slow:

Have you tried AJA System Test or Xbench* yet to benchmark your HDD?

That is in the ballpark for that Mac.

What about the disk benchmarks? What does AJA System Test report?

And when you checked Activity Monitor, did you like shown below?

Somethings got to be wrong though .. my Pentium 3 Sony Vaio ran faster then my computer is now .. failing harddrive maybe???

Or is it possible the primary processor is not kicking on?
