i have a 2010 macbook with snow leopard and within the last 2 months it will not sleep with the lid open and will drain the battery if left open overnight. i havent installed any new programs. so far ive checked the settings in energy saver and put hard disk to sleep when possible is checked, turned airport off, closed all programs ,reset pram and reinstalled os with no luck. when i choose to sleep from apple menu the screen will go black and then wake up immediately some times will take a couple seconds. i dont know how to run any diagnostics im new to macs and havent had any problems besides this. when lid is closed it will sleep and wake with no issues. this happens when plugged in or on battery power. thanks in advance
