Not impressed by these updates for the base 15" MacBook Pro (holding out for redesign/SSD...first laptop). I'll sell it when the time comes. Few questions...

1. Would it be wise to purchase a base 2010 refurbished MacBook Pro?
2. Can I sell it for the same price later or does the refurbish status mess with that?
3. Do refurbish Mac look and work exactly like new computers?

Here's the specs from the Canadian Store...($280 cheaper after this update :))

PRICE: $1,319.00
Save $530.00
28% off

Originally released April 2010
15.4-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display (1440 x 900 pixel)
4GB (2 x 2GB) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM
320GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm
8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory

Either way, I need one now :D

I was just looking at that. Refurbs are a GREAT buy - especially after an update, as we are seeing.

Whether, this computer will work for you, only you know how you will use it and what you will ask it to do.

As far as the quality of refurbs, I bought mine refurbished a year and a half ago, and it runs FLAWLESSLY!

Yeah...it should work for me (word processing, web surfing...student work). I bought this same laptop for around $2000 (tax including) in Sept but returned it in the 14 days waiting for a redesign.

This looks like a steal! Hope my upgrade plan works (refurb to redesign)!

Any more thoughts? Please chime in!
