2010 MB Sleep Problem

I have a 2010 MB that has done a weird thing a few times since buying it used in December. A few times, it has gone to sleep when setting it down. Nothing I do can wake it up. I have to turn it off by holding the power button. Today, I had to do the SMS reset because upon rebooting and just before hitting the desktop, it would go right back to sleep.

Any ideas whats happening here?
