Firstly thank in advance for whoever reads this and takes the time to help solve my problem.
As the title, I checked Activity Monitor and the culprit (s) are usually MDS Stores or Worker.
The problem is SO bad and annoying (horrible background ambient white noise!!!) that I can no longer have the laptop plugged into the TV via HDMI in the same room - I went out and bought a 12-foot cable so the MBP is in another room, it's that bad!
.
Is there an easy way to find which folders and programs are causing this to happen and to eliminate them without doing any background damage?
It's that bad was thinking of doing a fresh install of Mojave and having to replace (unless you know a workaround for this problem too) some major programs and apps that are obsolete - like Photoshop CS4 and Office - which I want to keep
Is there anything else I am missing and if so how can I resolve this issue and get back to a quiet and efficient MBP again.
It's old but 1TB SSD, 16 GB RAM and a new battery that last 5-7 hours depending on the programs run.
Again thanks very much for taking your precious time reading this and for any help given.
Deeply appreciative
Simon
