Found some local RAM (2x4gb) that was apparently pulled out of a MBP. It's Samsung SODIMM 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-PIN PC3-12800 DDR3, but the RAM I have in there now is 4GB 204-PIN PC3-1033 DDR3. Will this work? I tried doing some searching and finding what would work, but didn't come across whether the increased speed.

It's a decent price so I wanted to make sure before buying.

It's generally a bad idea to use anything other than what's speced.
Even if it works (and there's no guarantees there) it won't run at the faster speed.

You sure you've got a 2010?
From what I can see, even the PC3-1033 you've got in there now is the wrong RAM for that machine.

Well I know it's a 2010, but I bought it off of craigslist so it may have come with something that didn't work. What's the spec, 1333?

You should be so lucky. I'm afraid it's only PC3-8500 in the 2010 13".
