2010 MBP to 2011 MBA.

Hi there.
So, after playing with a 2011 MBA at a local Best Buy. I was deeply amazed on how fast and light it is.
I currently own a 2010 15-inch MBP (Core i5, 256 MB 330m). I felt that the Air crashes it on almost every aspect. So, should I sell my MBP to get a MBA?

I'm starting college this fall (Digital Media). So I want something lighter yet capable.
