Morning all,

When I start my mbp up it gets as far as the white screen with the apple on it then after that flashes grey then going in to a screen that has 2 mice (1 that is fixed in a random location and dissent move, other acts as a normal - able to move it around). But the background is made up of every pixel on the screen in a different colour and then sticks there!

When I start the laptop in safe mode it goes in fine and everything that is supposed to work, works.

So my question is what the hell is making it go funny?

I had the same problem with my first one that I took back as they said it was hardware but after it's done it again on a new on it looks like software.

Thanks guys

Ben

After a fresh install of the os it still does it!

No one have any ideas?

Call Apple support or bring it into an Apple store. sounds like it needs some serious work or replacement.

On the phone with them at the moment, just waiting for the senior advisor nothing is working!

Just got off the phone and the best they can advise is to format it and restart again. Then bring over just the applications folder from the TM backup and then search through my backup to find my user data i need.

A fun night ahead!
