2011 13" i5 Battery Health

Hi,

Its been a few days since I got my 13" i5 MBP now and I have been keeping an eye on the battery through iStat. iStat reports that my battery health is now at 98% with just only 4 cycles. Is this normal or something I have to worry about? My old laptop had 250+ cycles and was still at 90% health.

Anyone else have any issues with battery health? Just so anyone asks, yes I already calibrated the battery last night by draining it all the way to 0% and letting it sit over night without charging then charged it to a full 100% this morning.

It is likely nothing. Let your new battery run down to near 5-10% to get it
conditioned and to calibrate it. It will be back at 100% health.

It's normal to have the health fluctuate up and down over time. Make sure you calibrate using the exact steps in the link below. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:
