Hey guys... After encountering the compatibility "feature" early on trying to mount a Corsair Force 120TB drive in my MacBook Pro and having it not recognised I finally cracked it and went out and bought a Crucial MX100 256GB.

It seems this drive actually is recognised in that specific MacBook. So for anyone having compatibility issues with SATA3 and the fault Apple wont recognise I highly recommend you try one of these drives before you give up on the SATA3 support your MacBook Pro should have.

Of course Apple doesn't acknowledge this "feature" as it would mean replacing the logic board in every 2011 13" MacBook Pro that has it, but there is a solution.
