I have a 2011 13" MacBook Pro that I'm trying to get working but it doesn't seem to want to turn on. I replaced the MagSafe power supply (?) portion, the actual magnetic part that plugs into the motherboard, because the old one looked like it had seen better days, but that didn't change anything.
Basically when I plug in the Mac, the battery lights next to the battery check button do not flash and the light on the MagSafe charger itself doesn't turn orange or green. I have tried (a) with multiple adapters and (b) both other adapters work on other Macs, so it's NOT the adapters. Sometimes if I put one adapter one the Mac, there is a VERY faint green light but not the full brightness like when I plug in other Macs with the same adapter.
So…the Mac is not getting power, for some reason. But I'm not sure why. Any clues or suggestions? Any way to tell if there's a particular part of the motherboard that's fried/busted?
