Awesome!!!! I'll be pulling the trigger on one of these very very soon.

Just to make sure: Refurbs are returnable for any reason with no restocking fee within 14 days just like new ones, right? Just in case I get one that meets Apple's cosmetic standards for dead pixels and scratches, etc, but not mine? ;) And you still have a whole year to buy Apple Care?

I think I've read these things before, but this is a big purchase and these two things will give me a lot of peace of mind.

Nice but i paid $1000 for my mbp 13" i5... Brand new, $19 cheaper than apple's refurb price. Microcenter ad + bestbuy price match FTW

refurbished 2011 mbp

I just ordered one before I logged on to this site. We don't have a Microcenter here in AZ so it seems like a good deal to me with free shipping. I'm hoping that the refurbs are well sorted out and maybe less likely to have problems then a new one.

Ooo ok. Apple refurbs are amazing :) My 2008 MBP was a refurb and its honestly a great deal. Looks brand spanking new, same warranty, decent discount. Def. a good deal.

I almost never buy new from apple. Even got the airport extreme for $130, apple tv for $85; etc. Makes no sense for me to buy brand new when their refurb is the same thing.

Well, that was certainly fast. I always wonder about the refurbs - what went wrong?

Check around the forum and see for yourself why people returned the 2011 MBPs. You will be amazed! Some people experience cold feet and returned their unit within the 14 day return period. Of course there are failures, but people return computers for the damnedest reasons.

I have been checking the refurb section for weeks and finally, the refurb 2011s have arrived. Not that I need one though. But, if you snooze, then you lose.

Well that didn't take long. I didn't expect them to show up so soon. Interesting as we don't see the different sized MacBooks yet.

I was able to get one of the new 2.3 13" models at the PX for $999--with no tax. I just took in Microcenter's ad and they matched it.

Same here, but I got the Microcenter ad + Apple price match. Brand new 13inch MBP 2011 for $999. Such a good deal.
