Yesterday I bought the entry level 15" MBP and I'm not sure if my screen has an issue or it might be normal. The issue is in the top gray bar, the middle part is bright and the sides are dark. Is this issue normal or does it have to do with the viewing angles on the screen?

Could it perhaps be that your wallpaper is lighter in the middle? Perhaps setting your background to a solid color would help you see if its really lighter in the middle. Anyway, just a suggestion.

I tried a solid color background and still got the same issue. It does not matter if I have the menu bar transparent or not. Anyway I exchanged it for the 13" base model, because the store was out of stock of the entry level 15" model.
The 13" base model is still a solid computer.
