2011 15'' vs old 2010 15'' compare

Hello,
I just upgraded from my 2010 15'' i5 2.53 8gb ram 500gb HD @7200 hi res antiglare to a 2011 15'' 2.0 8 gb ram 500 gb hd 5400. And wow right away I noticed the start up was faster things are a lot smoother. I were questioning a upgrade or not upgrade. I was lucky and paid 1300 for mine with apple care til 2014! Any other questions or anything let me know!

Saw a ad on craiglist and emailed the guy. He had it listed for 1650 I offered 1300. After meeting up saw he was a college student needing to pay for books. He explained everyone was offering him 900-1200. So my offers was best for what he was asking. Yeah I am thinking about going the ssd route as well I am gonna wait a few months to see how much off a drop they take.

I got mine for around the same price with apple care too on craigslist, except it's an 2010 i7 2.66Ghz. These things are screaming fast and don't have a reason to get the new 2011 ones at this time. Runs everything quick, decodes and encodes video just fine. However, the new 2011s bench much faster than the 2010, but depending on what you're doing, you won't even notice a difference. well thats a really really good deal! I just got mine brand new on CL too but for 1500 added 8gb ram and 120ssd for an extra 350.

That's an amazing deal! I just got mine off the Apple Store. Upgraded the RAM and HD myself though.
