Hi all, as per title: Is it possible to install 16gb in a 21" iMac? It's not configurable in the store and it's only lists 8gb as the maximum in the tech specs.

Cheers dude, many thanks for the info. I just need to find out if I can daisy-chain 2x thunderbolt displays :D

According to the Apple store, only select models are capable if >8GB of RAM. For instance, this 21" iMac apparently cannot. Is Apple misleading folks in that it can be upgraded to more than 8GB but just not through them, or is this reality. :):)

I've got a 2011 21.5" base iMac with 12GB of 1333MHz RAM. I picked up 2x4GB from OWC. You probably aren't but make sure you're not buying it from Apple.

Well according to what i saw on youtube u can on that model. Best Buy list that model as 16gb capable and everywhere else i went list 16 on that base model
