2011 27-inch iMac removing HDD w/ SSD

I have the iMac with 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD
I'm planning on upgrading these to Solid state drives with larger capacity for a RAID 0 to have minimal mechanical parts
the optical drive is staying for now since the sata speed is is slower and dont have the adapter for it.

My question is I take out the 1TB HDD and place in the SSD will it cause a problem with the temp sensor/fans?

It shouldn't, but i only upgraded my HDD to a larger one in addition to the apple oem ssd.

can anyone provide confirmation of removing the HDD in place of a SSD? does the fan go berserk?
