2011 Air Right Side USB Doesn't Work

Just like the title, I just attempted to use the USB port on the right side of my new Air. The computer will not recognize any of several drives, or provide power to them. Has anyone had this issue or any easy solutions? Unfortunately, driving to the closest Apple store is not an option, I'm currently in Afghanistan.

If its a hardware failure there is not much you can do other than have Apple fix it. You can try resetting the SMC. Its not specifically for the USB, but it can't hurt to try.

Alternatively, you could try using one of these: http://www.gearzap.com/3-port-usb-2-0-hub-adapter.html although I'm not sure if they have been released yet.

Thanks to the both of you for suggestions. Luckily, I do have a hub adapter. I did reset everything and no luck. Good thing is I only have 2 more months in this place and I'll just take it in when I get home.
