I'm looking into picking up a Base model 13" Macbook pro for 900 used off of CL is that a good deal? Also what do you guys think it's a good price for a 09 macbook pro? Thanks for the help.

wouldn't bother with the 09 pro now.

do you need it now? if you wait a while you will get the 2012 one for $100 more

was that the portable version was it?

my point still stands, a newer, more powerful laptop will come out soon and is one that won't cost you to much extra.

Hopefully the New iMac comes out soon to swap it out for the new one. And yes your are right on the macbook Might just hold off like you say. Hopefully we see more rumors this coming week. Thanks again.

not a problem, what ever happens though, don't rush in to anything.

Dont need a new one just picked up a new 27" iMac.

$900 would not be attractive to me on a 2009 MBP 13 that I don't need right now. I agree with the other posters who are suggesting that you wait for better pricing on 2011-2012 models.

Not to mention:
2009 model even under warranty (and great build quality) has only 1 more year for official AppleCare support: if applied last day of 2009 purchase year/2010.

Plus you'll like the accessories having ThunderBolt connectivity to share between MBP and iMac along with ThunderBolt-Target-Disk mode.

Would you not like to have a portable that is on-par performance with your desktop machine (iMac) ?!

Are you guys not reading? this person wants to buy a 2011 and sell a 2009.

DOH! I read the content not the title of the post - the post seems like he was asking about a good deal and what should be a good price (as if to negotiate - at least that's how I understood it). Thanks for the proof-reading.
