What do you think Apple has in store for this years Black Friday Sale?

probably the same as last year, which was basically a dollar cheaper than EDU pricing for most desktops and portables; about 8-10% off other Apple branded accessories excluding iPhone and iPad I think.

I bought a 13" MBP last year for $1,049 - $150 off retail. Best deal I saw all year, although Mac Mall came close a couple of times, and you wouldn't had e to pay sales tax.

In general there aren't any blow out deals. It's a nice discount though if you are going to be shopping for Apple gear.

I'm hoping to pickup an iPhone 4S and iPod Touch for gifts this year...

Apple.com never really has deals......

Your best bet is sites like Macmall.com and see what they have.

Isn't it a little early speculating on such things, I mean we're still in October

I'm sure Apple and several other authorized dealers will have their small discount on Black Friday.

Personally, I am a fan of Amazon and live in a state where I do not have to pay sales tax (unlike NY and a few others). Anyway, I picked up my 15" 2010 MBP last year on Amazon for about $1,670.00 free shipping and no tax. Plus, I have a Amazon/Chase Visa card so I get triple points (3%) for shopping there. Since Apple has just spec bumped the 2011 Sandy Bridge CPU's and I do heavy Photoshop I may pick up a base 15" MBP again from Amazon if they have a similar deal and sell my current model. Besides, that is when the warranty runs out and I do not want plunk down a few hundred on AC.

Was that last year's Black Friday on Apple's site? Should I expect the same thing this year?

From a Black Friday story on the interwebz

"Another highly anticipated holiday gift guide was released on Wednesday from Apple superstore MacMall. According to BlackFriday.info, computer store's leaked Black Friday specials include $105 in savings on a 13.3-inch Macbook Pro as well as $164.01 off an 11.6-inch Apple Macbook Air."

+1 for Amazon, our apple store is always swamped on BF, there is usually a line of people trying to get in and browse

Yep. Me personally? I'd stay far away from the physical Apple Store on BF. I do all my shopping online that day.
