Looking to do some upgrades to the iMac and I have settled so far to upgrade the BT/WIFI to current and RAM is already maxed out to 32GB. Now on HDD, OWC has 3 upgrade options, replace HDD with SSD, add SSD and add dual SSD.
Which way have you guys gone? Better to add an SSD and keep internal or just swap it out for SSD? I have plenty of external drives and Im wondering if I could put a 4TB drive in place of the factory drive and be ok? I am also looking to upgrade the DVD drive to Blu-Ray since mine seems to have taken a dump.
Also, besides those 3 things, anything else I can do to update this thing? I really want a 2nd external monitor but the BT limitations pretty much settle that issue. If anyone has a better solution than a sub adapter I would love to hear it. Thanks!
