I just got a 2011 iMac today and hooked it up to my 10 month old LED Cinema Display.

When I look at windows on each monitor, the right side shows more silver and the left is more tans. (for things like window borders)

If I look at folders every other on the right looks almost light blue and blue, where on the iMac its more tan and purple.

Its quite noticeable... not even close.

I thought about calibrating but this doesn't seem to change anything.

Had anyone seen this? Both are at max brightness.

Is my new iMac bad?

i've got the same issue. there's a few threads about this. short of buying a very expensive calibration kit there's not much you can do.

Seems like Apple uses multiple panel suppliers... or maybe the panels from the same supplier can vary by batch.

I had two new 27" iMacs side by side, built within two weeks apart of each other, and the colors on one were way warmer than on the other. I couldn't get them to match, even with calibration.
