Has the issue with the custom hard drive firmware been resolved yet, or does it still require a software hack (SMCFanControl) for it to work correctly?
 
Hi, yes the issue still remains the same.
I don't believe there has been any progress on a hardware/firmware solution for the 2011 models. Does anybody else knows of anything?
