Ever since I got my iMac I've been having a lot of trouble - previously it was the GPU overheating and causing the system to hang, thankfully that was fixed after several trips to the Apple Store and Apple's GPU replacement program.

My hard drive is not failing, I suspect it was always wonky as OS X seemed to become corrupted from time to time. Does anyone know how much it costs to get the internal hard drive replaced at the Apple Store or at an authorized repair shop?

Thanks.

It sounds like you should have it fully diagnosed.

A new hard drive will generally run you $200-$300.
