2011 iMac memory

Hello everyone!

I'm getting the new base MBP 13" and I'll be upgrading the ram to 16gb. My wife has a base 2011 iMac 27" which she uses as her primary Facebook machine. My question is since I'll have 2 extra memory, can I put it into the iMac? She doesn't really need the upgrade, but I don't think I can resell the 4gb ram for a decent price anyway....

Yes you can, but your iMac will run to whichever RAM has the lower speed. I'd probably compare the RAM before installing them.
