2011 iMac - Screen Dark on Left Side

Hello all,

My 2011 iMac just recently began acting up. Lately, the left side of the display is dark, even though it's still visibile. I believe the display may be going out?

For reference, I did have the graphics card on the unit replaced about a year ago at the Apple store.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Have a read through this from Apple Discussions, particularly on the question of heat and dirty fan blades as the left side is directly over the power supply, and further on the about the guy who depresses the iMac beneath darkening. Good luck with it.
